More Dungeons & Dragons Heroes screens
Atari invite you to take a journey into the world of the classic Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.
Posted by John Grothier - Xbox,GameCube,PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

Atari promise to take gamers on a fantastic new quest based on the original role-playing game - with Dungeons & Dragons Heroes. Players will get the chance to taste victory as one of four heroes - Fighter, Wizard, Cleric & Rogue. Once you have chosen your hero you must journey through many dangerous and deadly dungeons, battling monsters and collecting the precious 'Planar Gems', to help vanquish evil from the world. 'Dungeons & Dragons Heroes will take gamers on an adventure of epic proportions', said Larry Sparks, of Atari 'The heart of Dungeons & Dragons has always been the social interaction and cooperation between players to successfully complete their quest, and it is no different with Dungeons & Dragons Heroes. We've carefully crafted that element, allowing four players at a time to experience the Dungeons & Dragons world.'

The team leader behind Dungeons & Dragons Heroes is the award-winning designer Brenda Brathwaite, who most recently worked on the critically acclaimed Wizardry 8. What we are doing with Dungeons & Dragons Heroes is designing a game with a decidedly action-oriented flair that will be easy for even a new player to grasp but will immerse the seasoned D&D player in an authentic D&D adventure that will give them the same feeling they experienced with the classic tabletop role-playing game, said Brathwaite. 'Each new game will be a different and exciting experience depending on the mix of characters players choose to venture out with, giving the game great replayability.

We hope to bring you more on Dungeons & Dragons Heroes very soon, but until then we have these stunning new screenshots for you.
