Hunter screenshot reckoning
New shots of the update of Hunter the Reckoning.

Although it was announced back in February, not many details were actually released about the new Xbox update of Hunter the Reckoning, so we waited for more details to surface. And then we waited. And then today, we had a rush of screenshots arrive to give us an idea of how the new features may fare.

Such are the changes that the game title is now updated to Hunter the Reckoning Redeemer, which is ironic as the game will be attempting to redeem the shortcomings of it's younger incarnation. The updates will include an enitirely new character (as well as the original four team), new enemies and new areas. No update of an action game would be complete without new weapons, power-ups and moves, so you will not be surprised by the fact that said features are implemented in this version.

But the most tempting addition to the game is the inclusion of Xbox Live update abilities. Whilst the original game was out before Live, this version can look forwards to many new updates once the game is released. But let's not forget that the original was pretty poor so this has little to live up to in order to be considered an improvement. Let's hope that it is not Redemption so much as rebirth. Sadly, despite the title, there have been no mentions of redeeming money off the game if you have the first one. Trading Standards anyone?

The game should be out some time in the autumn.
