Ford Racing Evolution will allow you to own all the greatest Ford cars.

Eidos has announced that it is to release a racing game based specifically around Ford cars old and new for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. Ford Racing Evolution will allow players to take control of 32 cars from various stages in Ford's history.

The cars featured will include the Ford GT, the New 2004 version of the F-150, SVT Lightening, SVT Mustang Cobra, 2002 Thunderbird, Mustang Mach III, Gran Torino, 1955 Thunderbird, 1971 Mustang, Focus Rally and 49 Coupe. Of course, each of these cars will handle differently as the game is being developed with accuracy in mind. This will carry over into the promised advanced rendering, physics and AI technology.

As well as the good variation of cars, there will be various game modes to play. Those confirmed are Standard race, duel, drafting, racing line, time trials and elimination modes. There will also be a special driving skills mode, of which we know no details other than the name.

All of these features should make this one game to look out for. It will not have an easy job on the consoles though, with Gran Turismo 4 and Project Gotham 2 coming out on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox respectively. But if it does live up to all the claims made, it should hold its own, even if only amongst Ford fans.
