Posted by Chris Barnett - Xbox - UK and Europe After much speculation about the relationship between NVIDIA and Microsoft, the latter is ditching the former in favour of ATI for any upcoming consoles. This will mean that the upcoming sequel to the Xbox will contain a graphics board manufactured by ATI. Since ATI already develops the graphical technology for the GameCube, it could be an interesting situation if it continues to support Nintendo (possibly in any new hardware it produces) whilst supporting Microsoft. The first thing that springs into our minds is that this could be a positive step towards the mythical single format. Chris Barnett
