New Everything or Nothing details
Mya to sing the title theme and 24 composer Sean Callery to compose the in-game music in this big-budget Bond title!
Posted by Marc Hull - Xbox,GameCube,PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

Electronic Arts have revealed that singer and actress Mya, best known for her input in the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, will be performing the title track for the latest James Bond game, Everything or Nothing. This brings the title even closer to its film roots, by being the first videogame of the series to have a song recorded specifically for it. The singer will also make an appearance during the game itself as an NSA agent, in a similar vein to Madonna's title-song and cameo appearance for Die Another Day.

Following the big-budget trend, Sean Callery who was nominated for an Emmy award after his work on the soundtrack of the American action series 24, has been announced as the composer for the in-game music. His work tends to be more gritty and atmospheric than that of David Arnold, the guy behind the music for the last three Bond films, nudging the game in the darker direction of Goldeneye. In fact, the story of this latest title is said to have quite a bit in common with the 1995 Bond film, which is no small coincidence considering that it is being written by Bruce Feirstein who created the screenplay of Goldeneye from Michael France's original story.

Both of these announcements continue the massive amount of exposure Everything or Nothing has received recently after signing Pierce Brosnan, Dame Judy Dench, John Cleese, Richard Kiel, Willem Dafoe, Heidi Klum and Shannon Elizabeth to all provide their voice acting talents and, in some cases, have their faces scanned so that their in-game avatars look as realistic as possible. Electronic Arts have previously been under pressure to out-do Rare's excellent first-person shooter Goldeneye, and some still feel that they've yet to surpass it. Although the third-person view of this new game should help avoid direct comparisons to some extent, it still remains to be seen whether or not another Bond game will finally be able to generate the same hysteria as the 7 year old classic. However, with a cast that many hollywood films would die for, the backing of some supreme musical talent and a story created by someone who co-wrote three of Brosnan's adventures, this will probably be the closest you'll get to being in a Bond film without the stress of being on the production staff!

Special thanks to
MI6.co.uk for the latest information on Everything or Nothing - we hope to have further details and an extensive hands-on playtest after the game's appearance at The PlayStation Experience near the end of this month!
