16 Player Mario Kart
Yes, you saw it right, 16 people in the same race!
Posted by Chris Barnett - GameCube - UK and Europe

The latest version of Mario Kart: Double Dash that is being shown at a games convention in Leipzig (in Germany for those not geographically inclined) has shown a few new features to create more (as if the game needed it) hype about the game.

The criticisms of the E3 version of slow gameplay and toddler skill handling have been quashed by the inclusion of the much loved slide and boost of previous games in the series. But the main feature that has people talking, shouting and screaming in joy is the inclusion of a LAN link up facility. This will allow up to 16 human players to take part in the same race, which will be complemented by specially designed battle stages.

This new version will be playable in the UK at Earls Court, London from the 27th to the 29th of this month. So get yourself and fifteen mates down there now and camp out ready to play. Or stay at home and await our second to none coverage of the game. Either way, don't wet yourselves!
