Mini Hatcher and the Magic Link-up
GameBoy Advance owners to get the most out of Sega's nest egg.

As more details emerge concerning Sega's 'Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg' we can happily inform you that the game seems to get better. Sega has announced that the game will have a GameBoy Advance link up facility, allowing players of the GameCube game who also have a GameBoy Advance to download exclusive content.
The exact details of the downloads have yet to be finalised but a version of Nights is definately set for inclusion. Other downloads will probably simlarly be classic Sega games in mini form, as was the case in Phantasy Star Online. This may be a subtle way of ensuring that all die hard Nintendo fans (who have avoided Sega games through their dedication to Nintendo) get the chance to play all of Sega's back catalogue, but it is a welcome one.
Other details that have been confirmed of the game is that it will feature a new Sonic Team developed engine (not an update of the Super Monkey Ball engine as rumoured by some sources) that offers 60 frames per second. The structure of stages will be such that each needs to be completed before the next can be tackled, but completed stages can be replayed with different missions available. Each stage will actually feature 8 missions and the single player game should take around 8 hours to complete, but it is not clear about whether the 8 hours is to complete the entire 8 missions on all stages or simply to complete each stage once. Either way, 8 hours in the presence of a Sonic Team game is certainly worth more that 8 hours in reality.
Until we get more details (hopefully from the ECTS next week) on the game you can continue to paint eggs to decorate your rooms ready for the game. Just remember to boil them first.
