Groove with your eye
New EyeToy game will allow you to dance with credibility. Well maybe...
Posted by Chris Barnett - PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

Sony has announced the second title in its EyeToy series after the huge success of the original Play title. The new game, EyeToy: Groove, will allow players to dance to the motions on screen whilst being able to see how they look whilst doing it. So all of those people who play rhythm action games and look stupid will now actually be able see how silly they look.

The movements that players will be able to perform will include posing, waving, swiping and the hitting of rhythm zones. All of this will be in time to music, with obvious bonus being offered for diverse body movement. And on top of this the game will feature over 25 music tracks from artists such as Madonna, Misteeq, the Jackson 5 and The Cheeky Girls.

Any title that gives a grown man (or woman) the chance to dance to The Cheeky Girls and claim that they are simply playing a game must be worth a look. It's just a good job that this is not on a console where music ripping is possible or else we could have the situation where 5 year olds are seen dancing to Slipknot or Garry Glitter.

There is no planned release yet, but if you want to dance to music in the meantime, please feel free to do so.
