Posted by Chris Barnett - Xbox,GameCube,PlayStation 2,PC - UK and Europe Originally due out this Friday, Dredd vs Death has been put back until early October for the Xbox, PC and PlayStation 2 with the GameCube version following in November. The reason for this is supposed to be with several bugs within the code that was sent to the disc printers. Quite simply, a BETA version of the game was copied and geared up for release! The most damaging effect of this is not in the wait that gamers will have to endure but the flood of mediocre to poor reviews that the game has been receiving in the games press. Most of these reviews will have been based on the unfinished code and so would have given a very unfair overview of the game. As we would rather our readers get a quality and balanced review of a game, we never review a game until it is not only out, but we also wait until we have actually completed the game before we tell you if it is worth your good money (or bad money as the case may be). So all of those publications that let their readers (and Dredd publishers, Rebellion) down should feel shamed that they could have damaged the reputation of a potential classic. Let's just hope the delay is worth the endurance and consider the fact the Knights of the Old Republic is out Friday anyway so you would have probably not had chance/money to get Dredd anyway.
