More Simpsons screens
As if you didn't have enough Simpsons on the TV already, the new 'Hit & Run' game looks as if it may finally give the series what it has been waiting for: a game that is deserving of The Simpsons' name.

Although we gave you some new shots of the upcoming Simpsons game, The Simpsons Hit & Run, a few days ago, publisher Vivendi has given us more high quality shots.
As we have already stated in our previous coverage of the game, it is very similar to Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City in terms of structure. And the new screenshots hammer this home even more that previously shown. Many of the shots show Bart outside of a vehicle (in fact, all the shots seem to concentrate on Bart as the playabe character), walking around Springfield.
Some of the shots even show interior locations such as Moe's bar. As free roaming as the 3D Grand Theft Auto games are, they do not really offer interior locations in any real sense (as in The Getaway, for example) so Hit & Run could be more than just a simple cash in.
Also apparent from several of the screens is that the game will contain many references that fans will recognise. These include the Homer Bat signal (from the lighthouse), posters of daredevil Lance Murdock, the Duff blimp and the perpetual queue at the driving test centre where Patty and Selma work. All of these may seem small things, but they may be what gives this game the ultimate claim: Of being the first game ever to capture the true feel and humour of The Simpsons.
