Posted by Chris Barnett - Xbox - UK and Europe As online seems to be the next 3D, Sega GT Online has been exciting us for some time. After all, Sega know more about online gaming than Polyphonic, developers of Gran Turismo; so Sega's racing effort could actually better Sony's for once. From looking at the shots below you can see how solid and detailed that the cars appear, and trust us, they move just as smoothly when the game is in action. The game will have tough competition in the form of Gran Turismo 4, but if it is as good as it looks it should hold its own for sure. Let's not forget that Sega GT 2002 was not that far behind Gran Turismo 3 (in fact some actually preferred Sega's game, but that could have been Microsoft bias speaking) so the update should not be taken as a compromise.
