Play N-Gage now
Certain stores allow you to test Nokia's device now.

Ahead of the October 7th Worldwide launch, Nokia has allowed certain retailers to host demo pods in their stores to give gamers a chance to play the console. As the pods arrived at GameStation and Carphone Warehouse stores, gamers were left in the dark with no advance advertising of the pods.
As the pods only have limited functionality (they only play games, nothing more except menus where you get a 'demo pod only' message every time you attempt to do anything other than load the game) it is difficult for people to get an idea of the full features of the console. Most of the pods have just Tomb Raider loaded on them, but we have been informed that certain stores have Pandemonium pre loaded.
This may be a good idea for a console such as the Game Boy Advance, giving gamers the ability to test all the gaming functions of the console. But for the N-Gage it is not such a good idea as the price is so high (though still not concrete) that testers will want to see what they can actually get for their money. At the store where we saw a demo pod the comment that we constantly heard was that it's 'no better than a Game Boy Advance'. Whilst this may be technically incorrect, it just shows how the average gamer perceives these demo pods. If they showed some of the Bluetooth or MP3 functions they may impress, but as it is the pods just show that Tomb Raider will be available for close to £300 when you can get a budget PC version for around £5.
