13th October 2003:
GameCube sales soar
Since its recent price cut, sales of Nintendo's console have gone through the roof.
Posted by John Grothier - GameCube - UK and Europe

Sales of Nintendo's GameCube have risen in the UK by 400% - just two days after the price for the console droped to just £79. David Yarnton, General Manager of Nintendo UK comments: "The new price for Nintendo GameCube is great news for everyone, ensuring the console and our great range of software is available to all. The Nintendo GameCube library of games are unbeatable, and with all the major players developing exclusive and unique games for our system, there has never been a better time than right now to enjoy Nintendo GameCube."

With the festive season fast aproaching the GameCube will be in a strong position this Christmas with a library of over 200 games including, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Soulcalibur II, 1080 Avalanche, F-Zero GX and Mario Party 5. The GameCube also has some very strong upcoming third party titles such as, Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike from Lucas Arts, Viewtiful Joe and P.N.03 from Capcom, Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg from SEGA, FIFA Football 2004, Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, The Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King and Medal of Honor Rising Sun from EA, WWE Wrestlemania XIX from THQ and Tony Hawk's Underground from Activision.

So the future of GameCube looks very good in the foreseeable future, and with favourites including Mario, Zelda and Metroid already available for the console, there has never been a better time to get into GameCube.
