20th October 2003:
Rally in Top Gear
TG Rally is coming to the GameBoy Advance and looks set to be special.
Posted by Chris Barnett - Game Boy Advance - UK and Europe

Following the recent popularity of rally games on the 'big' consoles, the GameBoy Advance looks set to get it's own landmark rally game.

Although the console has rally games at the moment, they are not really special and certainly would not hold up against other racers such as GT Advance 3 and Mario Kart Advance. But TG Rally looks set to change that, and may even become the best racing game on the system, full stop.

The features read something like a dream, much more than you could expect from a hand held racing game. For example, the game will feature over 80 stages from over 10 countries to race on, each with their own unique scenery and terrain. In addition to this it will also feature full co-driver speech that is essential to success. And it will feature four play modes to keep it alive for long after Mr GameShop has squandered your money on a billboard advertising the latest EA game. The modes will be Championship, Time Attack, Practice and Quick Race as well as a full link up two player mode.

As if all this was not enough, it will offer true 3D graphics that look on par with any 3D we have seen so far on a hand held (including the N-Gage), just look at the (admittedly small) screenshots below. If any of this sounds interesting you will be happy to know that the game is due out as soon as the 7th November - that's less than a month.
