A Date With War (of the Ring)
The upcoming Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring has a definite date.

Vivendi has announced that its upcoming Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring will be released on the 28th of November.

The game will offer players the chance to take control of the forces of good or evil, with battles involving any of: Men, Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits to name a few. The most interesting thing for fans of the books and films however is the promise of character background information. This will mean that you will learn things that you will not know about the different races and their cultures.

In addition to the single player mode (with its epic story) the game will also have internet and local area network play from the day it is released. This should ensure that the game lasts as long as the legacy of the books as battles will be possible that even Tolkien did not get chance to pen.

Let's just hope that this is a game to rule them all.
