Acclaim go Rugby
The developers of Jonah Lomu Rugby have another try...

As the rugby World Cup takes the nation's interest to the maximum, Acclaim and developer Swordfish aim to capture the spirit in World Championship Rugby. Details are pretty scarce at the moment as the game is not due out until March 2004 (on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC). But what is known is that the game will take an arcade approach to the game.

This should see a great difference to EA's rugby which is definately centred on realism (and not poorer for it, might we add). And from looking at the shots below it looks pretty impressive too, especially the dramatic cameras on the set plays (if they are indeed in-game and not replays).

Let's hope it surpasses Jonah Lomu Rugby as that game was a true classic.
