22nd November 2003:
Game to be Released with Glitch
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is coming very soon.
Posted by Chris Barnett - PlayStation 2,GameCube,Xbox - UK and Europe

As it was voted action game of the show at the E3 show, we are pretty sorry that we have not covered Metal Arms: Glitch in the System until now. But as we have full details of it now, we find it very difficult to ignore.

The game is based on the liberation of a robot race by an individual robot by the name of Glitch. In order to carry out its task, Glitch must snipe, sneak, solve puzzles and shoot amongst other things. What makes this so original though is that Glitch can possess other robots (up to 10 different kinds in fact) and even steal their weapons. As each of the robots and weapons are individual this will mean a great amount of variety in gameplay and strategy.

The strategy will be essential as many puzzles will face the player, and many of them will actually require intelligence (not the usual 'a lever near by may react when pushed' mentality as in most 3D action games). So don't be put off by the cute appearence of Glitch in the screenshots, this is not a game for those expecting a no-brain shooter. This could be the future direction of 3D action games: to mix the blasting with thought.

We will see if the future is bright on December 5th when the game is released on the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube. Just imagine what shops will do when customers claim the game has a glitch in it...
