Posted by Chris Barnett - PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe A photograph has surfaced that claims to be the first of the PlayStation 3. Whilst the image does not appear to be an obvious fake (it looks pretty neat), we have been unable to define the exact source of it. If it is real then it is a departure from the black and square design of the Playstation 2 and the upcoming PSP (which was shown recently in official shots). In fact, if it is genuine it may suggest that Sony has picked up on the recent success of the Satin Silver Playstation 2 and incorporated that in their design (it is difficult to ignore the appeal of a silver PlayStation 2 over a traditional 'funeral' one).
