Combat Elite, set for D-Day.
Acclaim's entry into the WWII combat game genre set to debut on the Sixtieth anniversary of D-Day.

There is no denying it, World War 2 is popular. In the last year a whole slew of games have emerged to fight it out for the honour of who is the best at bashing the bally hun and jap.

Now Acclaim, with the help of BattleBorne Entertainment deliver a new slice of realistic shooting action this June. Forty levels of action based around the Snowblind Studios engine, a career mode where you can climb the ranks from private, gaining promotions that allow you to gain skills and abilities, two player split screen co-op mode, as accurate a set of weapons historically as possible and such famous campaigns as D-Day and Market Garden to try your trigger finger at.

The game play consists of making your way through Europe from the beaches of Normandy, throgh France, the Low Countries and ultimately Germany. Finally to be considered for a mission to stop the Nazi Atom bomb project.

Rod Cousens, CEO of Acclaim seems very happy with the game, "Combat Elite: WWII Paratroopers possesses the technology, graphics and game play to appeal to a broad global market, and BattleBorne has achieved a fine balance between creating a highly-engaging gaming experience and paying homage to the brave soldiers who served during this epic campaign."

Set to release to coincide with D-Day, June 6th.
