Posted by Chris Snook - PC - UK and Europe The search for who managed to steal the missing Half-Life 2 code from Valve has taken an unexpected turn. Last week a programmer in the San Francisco area was raided with hardware and software being kept as evidence. He denied any illegal activity himself and all the FBI were willing to commit themselves to was that there had been a raid. Due to the theft and the later appearance of code both on the net and reportedly in stores in Russia efforts have been stepped up to find those who had performed the hacking and theft. Half-Life 2 has been delayed twice due to the needed recoding of the game engine.
