A third dark age cometh.
Trials of Atlantis the Second Expansion for Mythic's popular MMPOG, Dark Age of Camelot is almost ready to surface.

After nearly a year in development, Trials of Atlantis is due to be released next month and is the second add-on for the Massive Multiplayer Online Game, Dark Age of Camelot.

Running for over two years now DAOC is looking to be severely enhanced by this addition, everything is getting tweaked, graphics, sound and game play. With even the oldest areas benefiting from a new engine, smoothing and improving the look and ambience of the game world.

With an additional 10 zones, presumably three for each realm and one new central dungeon area, the players can now explore the lost lands of Atlantis, from the depths of Oceanus to the heights of the sky city Aerus and the long trek across the deserts of Stygie there is plenty to see, do and battle

Other improvements include enhanced monster AI, usage of the SpeedTree engine to render more realistic foliage and usage of the "Gamebryo" engine for more frame-rate per second than before. Also added are new arms, armour, quests, player races and monsters to explore combat and die whilst fighting against, ToA is going to be big.

Set to go 'live' on the European servers February 25th and on release two days later on the 27th, with three different options available. The Add-on only, the Complete box set which includes ToA, the original DAOC and the first expansion, Shrouded Isles. Lastly there is the third option which is a collectors, limited edition, numbered, box set with bonus material, a brass pendant and a kit to make medieval wax seals. With both types of boxed set coming with a months free subscription for those new to the game.
