Championship Manager Lives On
Despite the departure of Sports Interactive, the Championship Manager is set to continue. In fact, it promises to get better.
Posted by Chris Barnett - PC - UK and Europe

With the end of the partnership between Eidos and Sports Interactive last year it was unclear what would happen to the Championship Manager series of games. It was promised that they would continue, but the time scale that they could be expected to be seen was far from definite.

Eidos has happily announced that not only have they recruited an entirely new development team to improve the series, but the game will be released in the autumn of this year. Beautiful Game Studios consists of 30 staff who have worked on more than 90 titles between them. They aim to use this experience to improve the series over its 03/04 incarnation.

The improvements that are promised are improved statistics and a more responsive game overall. The statistics will be obtained from an agency that specialises in providing information to actual football coaches throughout the world. The greater response will be provided by improved loading times.

We will follow this one closer than the Premiership title race...
