Want to race on the ceiling? How about against an opponent, either side of a glass sheet? Maybe a game of American football in a sportscar, or truck? Blow your opponents up?
If so then eXtreme Demolition is the game for you.
The premise is simple, drive one of a variety of cars around and destroy anyone and everyone you can - before they do likewise to your vehicle. Sort of like UT in vehicles. eXtreme allows you to drive everything form an F1 car through sports cars, army vehicles and even a SCUD launcher, perfect for a bit of mass destruction eh?
Also included are capture the flag, bomb-tag mode (it wasn't supposed to go boom!), the aforementioned Football mode, where you get to play madden with Passes, interceptions and all the usual stuff. Hut hut in a HUMVEE. All with bucket loads of weapons, with more being added everyday.
It is the 'gravity effects that look to be setting this title apart form the pack, even the concept of racing along a vertical glass pane is different also as gravity is integral to the game various manoeuvres to inflict more pain on the rest of the players abound.
Multi-play is based around the stable Tribes/Tribes 2 engine and allows both a mix of humans and bots. Similarly the single player mode can be tailored to suit whatever the mood.
