Posted by Chris Snook - PC - UK and Europe In what is to say a surprising move, LucasArts today took a lightsabre to the expected Sam & Max Freelance Police title and left it pretty much for dead. Billed as the sequel to the cult classic, Sam & Max Hit The Road, it was to have seen the duo become rendered into glorious 3D to pull more humorous stunts and mayhem making mischief that was the hallmark of the original. "After careful evaluation of current market place realities and underlying economic considerations, we've decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC", was the bland and terse statement given by Mike Nelson, Acting General Manager and VP of Finance and Operations for LucasArts. No one is certain what this means but it looks like the end to an era. Chris Snook
