Silent Hill 4: The Room is shaping up to take psychological horror just that one step further than before.

The previous games have all been atmospheric and even a little creepy at times, unsettling people with a violent mix of head games and very, very graphic horror. Now the fourth title is in development and is setting its sights on playing with your mind even more.

Harry Townshend unfortunately lives in a cursed apartment, he cannot leave no matter how he tries. Then there are the NPC's, the monsters, the alternate versions of the world and then there is the undead. All arrayed against our hero as he tries to make a trip to the chemists.

There is the promise of new technology behind this title, showing subtle shifts in the world around Harry as he travels from one nightmare to another. All from the comfort of his flat. Narnia was never this much fun.

Due out some point this year.
