We have some brand-new screens of Codemasters new RTS, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II.

Codemasters have just released some new screenshots of their upcoming wartime real time strategy title, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. This dramatic, fast-paced tactical strategy game is due for release this June, exclusively for PC. Soldiers: Heroes of World War II is a third-person tactical action complete with a stunning 3D visual engine. This RTS will see the player pitched headlong into the war-torn battlegrounds of Europe, and Codemasters promise that the gameplay will deliver extremely realistic yet explosive combat scenarios. Your job is to command a trained team of special forces behind enemy lines - get them in, get the job done, and get them out again - fast!

Soldiers: Heroes of World War II will feature over 25 action-packed missions for gamers to excute, all of which are inspired from the actual exploits of the real World War II heroes. Each mission can be completed in a number of different ways - whether you decide to stealth-it-up or go in loud with all guns blazing, its up to you. Gameres can play as British, (hooray), U.S., German or Russian forces, with authentically modelled WWII vehicles, weapons and units - even ammo - and you'll experience totally realistic penetration physics. (ooh err).

Soldiers will also feature fully-destructible environments, buildings and other objects can be scarred or leveled as your artillery makes its mark and changes the terrain with shell-holes and trenches. The control method combines the best of RTS and 3D-action gaming, using 'Team mode' to command and move an entire unit or 'Direct Control', where you jump into the thick of the action, get your hands dirty, and take control of a single soldier. Featuring both single-player and online/LAN multiplayer gaming, Soldiers will beach-land with a bang when it's published by Codemasters in summer 2004, exclusively for the PC.
