13th April 2004:
In the begining there...
...was but one Final Fantasy and ever since there has been a growing band of related games. Now the original returns for the smallest screen.
Posted by Chris Snook - Game Boy Advance - UK and Europe

Since being announced almost ten months ago work on the conversions of the first two Final fantasy games to the Game Boy Advance have gone on apace.

Many will not realise that this will be the first time in fifteen years that anyone outside of Japan (imports aside) will be able to play the original games in as much of their glory as the GBA can manage, which should be nearly all of them.

It is also rumoured that there will be new sub-quests, dungeons and items to be find as well as tweaks to the magic system to accommodate the more cramped area of play that is now offered.

It is uncertain when these new versions will be released or even if they will make it out of Japan but there will be a lot who will look forwards to them doing so.
