Near to the Madden crowd
Welcome sports fans, it is the game of the season and we are in the Second Quarter, first down and one to go.

Electronic Arts have released the first concrete shots of their title Madden NFL 2005 and so far they look pretty good. As yet there has not been any announcement as to which platforms the venerable commentator will inhabit but it is a fairly safe bet that at least the PS2 and the XBox will get a version though there are rumours of GameCube and maybe a PC version also.

Also revealed is this years logo, which is fairly standard as it goes and follows EA's normal pattern of such things.

One last piece of speculation, in light of the industry gossip concerning Microsoft and Electronic arts possibly teaming up with Xbox live, we may get the chance to see online US football matches.

Then again maybe not.
