Getting the urge to Urbz
The Sims are getting ready to make the plunge into the inner city where unknown dangers lurk.

With the second true Sims Game due for release later this year, EA have announced that there is to be another console based title that covers the GameCube, GameBoy Advance, the PS2 and the XBox. It is The Urbz.

Unlike previous games, the aim here is to become the biggest and best player around in the city, the honcho with the biggest rep and cred.

The Console versions revolve around your dealing with the hassles of life, working at teh Sushi Bar with a boss that makes Arnold Rimmer seem sane whilst trying to gain promotions to boost your rating, which will allow you to gain power and influence over others as you cruise around the 24/7 city in all it's sprawling glory.

You can customise your characters, with 'Bling' - tattoos, nose rings and a hair style that verges on the bilious, all available whilst living the way you want to live. As a bonus, Eye Toy owners can scan in their own image and watch as their virtual being becomes sucked inwards.

The GBA version is a little different, centred around a near ruined city and it is your task to save it once you find out that Daddy BigBucks is hip deep in his plans to take over the city. Again you interact with the others in the game and play some mini-games to boost your scores. You will even be able to combine two GBA's together to trade rare items.
