26th April 2004:
The Sims 2 screens
Electronic Arts have just released some new shots of the eagerly-awaited The Sims 2.
Posted by John Grothier - PC - UK and Europe

This September will see the release of The Sims 2 on the PC. Electronic Arts promise that The Sims 2 will truly be the next generation of the Sims, as players control their Sims over an entire lifetime for the first time. The Sims 2 will feature all-new gameplay, and the ground-breaking addition of genetics, with the DNA of Sims passed down through generations gives players a more vivid, realistic, and in-depth Sims experience. All of this takes place in a new, amazingly life-like 3-D world - thanks to an entirely new graphics engine that will make the world more life-like and dynamic.

This time around the Sims are much more intelligent, and also more aware and responsive to both other Sims and their surroundings. They will be able to form complex relationships with other Sims, and they will be able to distinguish between family and friends, platonic friendships and romantic love. The Sims 2 will also feature a 'Create-a Sim' feature, which will allow you to customize the facial features of your Sim.

Stay tuned to Silicion Fusion for more on The Sims 2 - as we get it.
