Ignition Entertaiment's Pool Paradise is set for release this May on the GameCube.

You may be glued to the snooker World Championships at the moment, and if so you will be pleased to hear that Ignition Entertainment have confirmed that the GameCube version of Archer Maclean's Pool Paradise will be released on 7th May 2004. Pool Paradise on the GameCube was originally intended for release alongside its PlayStation 2 and PC counterparts, however, the developers wanted to do some last-minute fine-tuning to ensure that the Cube version truly shines.

Players will be able to enjoy the super-realistic physics and intuitive control system, across 12 different varieties of pool, on realistic or stunt tables if they desire. The game also have many unlockables to ensure that gamers never get tired of playing pool. Players will also be able to try other games like Darts, Skee Pool or the arcade classic Dropzone, all of which are hidden throughout the island.

"Although we had promised this version a little earlier, we're sure that the time taken to finely hone our product will be appreciated by all who play it," says Peter Rollinson, of Ignition Entertainment. "We're grateful for the patience shown by those waiting for the GameCube version and can promise them they will not be disappointed."

Pool Paradise will be released on Game Cube on 7th May 2004 at the budget price of Ł19.99.
