Eidos invite gamers to enter the nitrous-fuelled world of Crash 'n' Burn where dangerous driving actually encouraged. Developed by Climax's Brighton studios, Crash 'n' Burn will be available on PlayStation 2 and Xbox this autumn. Racers will be able to choose their car, paint it, polish it, and personalise it. Players will even be able to build it up with new components, giant spoilers and reinforced fenders, and also supercharge it, and then fill it with nitrous.
Races will take place in the back street circuits of Miami, San Francisco, L.A. and New York. As will other racers your objective is to finish first, but with Crash 'n' Burn players are encouraged to run everyone else off the road. Smash your opponents into barriers, rip, shred and tear sheet metal from their frames, leave their burning engine blocks and melted tires in your wake. And if that was not exciting enough, players will be able to race online with up to 16 players for both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox - via Xbox Live.
Crash 'n' Burn will be showcased on the Eidos stand at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Check out the trailer at www.crashnburngame.com
We will bring you much more on Crash 'n' Burn on Silicon Fusion very soon, but until then we have these first screens showing off some more driving carnage.
