That is the Fantasy that is Final to be. Posted by Chris Snook - PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe Square have given details of their E3 line-up and it is quite a spankingly good one too. Top of the list is the zealously awaited Final Fantasy XII the first traditional style FF game since X almost three or so years ago and so far it looks like the wait may be worth it. Set in the world of Ivalice, where the power mad Archadian Empire is on the march we find the peaceful land of Dalmasca brutally crushed and its ruler slain. The last surviving heir to the throne being the Princess Ashe, who swears to overthrow the oppressors. Vaan is an urchin from the streets of Rabanastre, the former Dalamascan capital, where he dreams on day of becoming one of the sky pirates that haunt the air lanes. He, Ashe, Penolo and the Pirate Balthier all form the unlikely band of heroes to save Dalamasca and rid the world of Empire. Based ina world where magic si strong and Air Ships are common, FF: XII promises to be another milestone in the series' cap, with Dolby Prologic II sound woven through out the game it promises a rich experience.
