10th May 2004:
Splinter Cell screens and art
Once again Sam Fisher is all that stands between the world and total information domination.
Posted by Chris Snook - PC - UK and Europe

Information warfare rarely remains static and now once again Third Echelon Agent, Sam Fisher must penetrate deep into enemy territory ad eliminate another threat.

This time the attacks originate from that most reclusive of lands, North Korea and this time Sam must go deeper and further than ever before as bothe he and his opponents evolve into better and badder foes.

Splinter Cell 3 (a provisional title), follows in the footsteps of its predecessors and once more ramps up the ante on them. We are promised the most realistic game environment there is, with an advanced physics engine, superb visuals and ear popping sound. Also mixed in are the weapons that could be in use in tomorrow's war, from the trusty trench knife to prototypes, a mere twinkling in a theorist's eye. Coupled with the fluid animation are some stunning hand-to-hand moves, open levels where you can take multiple paths to get to where you want to go, intelligent AI. No kids with bears here. Then to top it all a gripping plot and a multiplayer co-op mode, where you go plant boot in anterior with your mates.

Due out for PC later this year.
