Electronic Arts go Live (E3 2004)
Microsoft and Electronic Arts finally team up for Xbox Live agreement.

Posted by John Grothier - Xbox - UK and Europe

At Electronic Entertainment Exposition (E3), Micrsoft announced to a packed house the announcement we have all been waiting for - Electronic Arts' commitment to bringing its games to the Microsoft Xbox Live online gaming service starting this summer.

"EA has always been a great publisher for Xbox,"Robbie Bach of Microsoft said. "We're strengthening our alliance by bringing EA's world-class games to Xbox Live, the undisputed leader in online console gaming."

Tthis long-term agreement will now mean that many of EA's major franchises will be coming to Xbox Live, with more than 15 titles expected in the coming months including Madden NFL TM 2005, NBA LIVE 2005, FIFA Soccer 2005, and Need for Speed Underground 2, as well as Burnout 3, TimeSplitters Future Perfect and the popular online franchise, Battlefield.

As well as the welcome EA announcement, Microsoft also showcased breakthrough titles, also announcing that the highly anticipated Halo 2 will be on store shelves November 9th 2004.

Good news all round then.
