Posted by John Grothier - PlayStation 2,Xbox - UK and Europe At this years Electronic Entertainment Expo, Eidos proudly showed off their new racer, where where dangerous driving is not only encouraged, it is the only way you'll survive. In Crash 'n' Burn, would-be racers can choose their car, paint it, polish and even personalise it. Players can add new componets like giant spoilers and reinforced fenders, supercharge their new car and then fill it with nitrous before taking it to circuits in the back streets of Miami, San Francisco, L.A. and New York. Crash 'n' Burn is not only about finishing first, it's also about running your rivals off the road. Players can smash their rivals into barriers, rip, shred and tear sheet metal from their frames, leaving burning engine blocks and melted tires in your wake - and best of all you can do it all online. Developed by Climax for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, Crash 'n' Burn will allow racers to completely customise and personalise a whole garage full of cars. As players race, they will have to dodge on-track wreckage as they engage in high speed, high danger driving through the back streets, while instigating a few spectacular crashes of their own. Crash 'n' Burn will feature multiplayer destruction with or against 16 total players online featuring a variety of modes like 'last-man-standing', 'bomb tag' and more. The racer will also include a sophisticated replay system, with multi-angle player-controlled cameras set up throughout the courses. Crash 'n' Burn will be released for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox this autumn, but until then we have these new screenshots straight from E3.
