Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone has managed to gain some serious, non-coding. creative talent. Make it so.

So who would like to pit the Captain of the Starship Enterprise against the Kingpin from the movies Daredevil with a storyline by well-respected author R.A Salvatore? Atari does.

It was announced today that both Patrick Stewart and Michael Clarke Duncan have been recruited to fill out two of the biggest roles in this Autumn's D&D offering, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone. Stewart is to tackle the role of über powerful mage Kelben 'Blackstaff' Arunsun who is the party's guide, mentor and encourager as they try to right the act they have done.

Michael Clarke Duncan is to voice the evil Slaad Lord. Who is the leader of one of the two warring factions of demons unwittingly released by the characters and who they now have to shove back into the planes of reality they have come from.

"'Demon Stone' features a classic struggle between the forces of good and evil, and we needed two powerful voice talents to make that conflict real and bring it to life. Patrick Stewart's classic articulation and Michael Clarke Duncan's presence were absolutely perfect as the two opposing sides of that conflict," said John Hight, executive producer in Atari's Los Angeles studio. "As a best-selling author of numerous Forgotten Realms novels, R. A. Salvatore is uniquely suited to take on this project and his mastery of storytelling will immerse players more deeply in our game."

With the expected real time switching of characters, Supporting character AI that is reputed to be able to offer full tactical awareness and even self-sacrifice, FR:DS is one of the most anticipated D&D based games in a long, long time.
