Posted by Chris Snook - Xbox,PC - UK and Europe It has been announced that Universal pictures have acquired the rights to make a movie based off of the Doom games, a move which is seen as being in response to the rumoured good noises surrounding the forthcoming Alien Vs Predator flick. Doom has been relegated to limbo for a number of years now with both Sony's Columbia Studios and Warners holding the rights yet never able to make any use of them. The script is alleged to follow the plot of the soon to be released Doom 3 and charts the mission to retake Mars from the forces of hell. There is no greenlight as yet but the film could be out as soon as Autumn next year.
