Posted by Chris Snook - GameCube - UK and Europe Paper Mario was an obscure game for the N64, where Mario was literally a cardboard cut-out. Now the big N has decided to let a sequel loose on the world. The gameplay is a combination of turn based strategy and action elements all slotted neatly into the RPG mould with puzzles and combats to overcome. One of the more bizarre abilities is for the 2D plumber to assume various 3D shapes in his paper world, ranging from the tube to the well odd Paper Plane, all in the name of solving the events chucked at you. Also included are what have been called 'Timing Action Commands', doobries that if you manage to time their use just right will allow you to gain better damage and are crucial in working up to more powerful super attacks. Little else is known as yet beyond a rumoured October release date. Chris Snook
