Posted by Chris Snook - PlayStation 2,Xbox - UK and Europe Set in the Japan of the 16th Century just prior and during the fall of the Ashikaga Shogunate, Samurai Warriors and the ensuing chaos that erupted, with many petty warlords fighting one another to see who would assume control of the country. You get to play as one of a number of heroes and superlative warriors, each with the usual strengths and weaknesses in the methods they employ in battle as they engage in ninety or so levels of mayhem and combat, whilst fulfilling quests along the way. You can find yourself inside the walls of Osaka Castle, fighting on the blood-drenched battlefields of Kawanakajima and Okehazama amongst other locations. Samurai Warriors is due for a North American release in just over two weeks with a projected Uk release not long after.
