Panzer Dragoon Orta slips
Having waited years for a next-gen update, can fans of the series last another few months?
Posted by Marc Hull - Xbox - UK and Europe

Sega of America have released a statement saying that one of their most anticipated releases will not see shop shelves in time for Christmas. Panzer Dragoon Orta for the Xbox has been pushed back from its original American release date of November all the way to January of next year. Since the game hasn't yet been given a firm European date, we don't know how this will affect when we get our grubby mits on it, but we hope that we'll get it in January too.

Sega has said that the delay is to allow them to add new, innovative features to the game and its story. With some magazines reporting that gameplay on E3 preview copies was slightly bland, this delay could be to add more variety to the title. Since many fans of the series were expecting the new game to be an RPG like the last Saturn release, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Smilebit need to prove that their decision to go back to the game's roots was a good one. We hope to have further information soon!
