Posted by Chris Snook - PC - UK and Europe

The date is set. September 16th. When at last Europe will be able to enter the world of Vana'diel and engage properly with the Final Fantasy XI online experience.

The versions here will come with the first expansion, Rise of the Zilart and the all new The Chains of Promethia in what is being billed as the first tie the game will be the identical around the globe as TCoP, is being rolled out to co-inside with the release. Promising all new content, extensions to previous content and the unique feature of completing groundwork laid out in the original games and RotZ.

The first month is free, almost standard in MMPOG's, and slated to run on fairly low spec PC's, only 800MHz or so, taking up however a whopping 7.5GB's worth of space. Yes it does come on seven CD's. You get fifteen character slots for your $13 per month, with extra slots buyable at $1 a slot.

Sounds a bargain.
