Ben Kinsley, he of Ghandi and Species fame is set to play the evil Kagan in the recently announced film of the game, Bloodrayne.
Set about 240 years before the game, the title character, to be played by T3 Terminatrix, Kristanna Loken, it is currently being filmed in the country of its setting. Romania. The traditional home to all blood-drinkers.
Rayne, daughter to a human mother and a Vampire father, has the strengths of the latter welded to the emotions of the former and daddy hates her. Hates her a damn lot to be exact, Not surprisingly as she wants to overthrow the whole lot of bloodsuckers and Kagen, is intent on crafting her doom.
Apparently the sole monsters in the film will be the vampires and will concentrate on her quest to destroy her father, whilst finding romance. Also expected are links to the second game due out in the States later this year.
