World of Warcraft (EGN)
There is a veritable Blizzard of actvity as Game Stars gains the massive bug.
Posted by Chris Snook - PC - UK and Europe

In a flurry of activity today, Blizzard, the developers of the Warcraft series of games have let loose a serious amount of material regarding their latest project, the World of Warcraft.

Visitors to the Games Stars Live show were able to participate in the ongoing closed US Beta of the game and many seemed to be impressed by the conversion to a Massive Multiplayer Online Game.

Based in the world of Azeroth, players assume the roles of heroes and interact with the gameworld and other players, forging friendships and rivalries, alliances and hatreds as they compete singly or in groups to face down the enemy.

Continuity wise the WoW takes place three years after the events of Frozen Throne (the expansion for the third Warcraft game) as the races strive to rebuild even as threats both ancient and new rise to destroy them.

The world itself is recreated in detail, along with uncharted territories (where here be dragons may just prove to be correct) and is the springboard for thousands of quests that sprinkle the game. All this plus another couple of thousand unique items, numerous classes for your character to play constant content update due to a dedicated development team and all the races expected. World of Warcraft promises to be for many the perfect addition to the series.
