Posted by John Grothier - Xbox - UK and Europe Konami have just announced a new rendition of the hit PlayStation 2 survival horror title for the Xbox. The new version will take advantage of the Xbox's superior capabilities with advanced graphics, lighting effects, a brand new chapter and a new playable character. In Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears players take control of James Sunderland, who has just received a cryptic note from his wife asking him to meet her in the sleepy town of Silent Hill, a place of romantic meaning for the couple. The odd thing is that she has been dead for three years, so it's either the post office delivering the letter rather late or there is a mystery to be solved... Expect monsters, guns, dense fog, haunting darkness and a suitably chilling musical score presented in Dolby Digital. Look out for Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears, for the Xbox, this October.
