He may be four hundred or so years old but now the near twenty year wait for a digital Highlander is over.

The Highlander sequence of titles, series, videos, DVD's and books has proved to be enduring and worth a ton of money. Yet up until now there have been no games centred around the Immortals Universe, not one.

Now those who own the rights, Davis Panzer Productions have reached an agreement for a series of titles set in the Highlander mythos, with developer SCi (who did the original Carmageddon and the Conflict series). Nothing has been set in stone as yet, it is still early days but the expectations are that they will expand on what has gone before and expand on 'The Game'.

One of these could well be a Massive Online Game, a medium which seems to be almost perfect for the licence and with a feasible release date of 2006, the twentieth anniversary of Highlander events will no doubt be seen to be quickening.
