Posted by John Grothier - Xbox,GameCube,PlayStation 2,PC - UK and Europe Due for release at the end of this month, Ubisoft have released some information on some of the foes players will encounter in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Spike Beasts - These creatures have a set of hardened spines, which they often use to impale - and immobilize - their prey. Raider - Raiders are mostly cannon fodder for the Empress' army. These simple sand creatures are not particularly dangerous on their own, but beware as they often travel in packs. Executioner - Focused and dedicated warriors who aim solely to please the Empress of Time. These creatures should be handled with extreme caution - and dispatched with haste. Bladedancer - These enemies are lithe, clever, and seductive - a devastating combination. Their tribal markings and dress belie their origins as women from the tribes that once populated the Island. Crow Master - Poweful beings that are said to 'lead' the crows in their efforts to purge the Island of intruders. Care should be taken if you encounter one of these beasts. Silhouette - The Empress has experemented of these poor souls, the result is an enemy capable of twisting itself into all manner of improbable shapes, making it extremely difficult to target. Brute - This massive flesh golem is made up of the stitched together remains of slain warriors: those who sought to battle The Empress - and failed Griffin - This ancient, mythical beast wells beneath the Island of Time. It guards the Island's most valuable artifacts - and for good reason, as few creatures can match the power and ferocity of the griffin.
