The Four-Kings, one of the UK's top gaming Clans are staging a Pop Idol completion to boost their ranks ahead of this years Cyberathlete Professional League tournaments. Qualifiers will be based on online play of the first person shooter Painkiller, with the top eight online players being asked to attend the Bloodline Tournament where the best two Painkillers will be given a contract to go forth and take part in the CPL World Tour and potentially win that cool million. Not only that they will be filmed in progress and the final edit screened over the net, ready for and sundry to see those l33t shooting skills. Registration for the online trials can be made via the Jolt online gaming website, the Painkiller Tournament site or the Four-Kings own homepage, and they need to be done by November 12th. With the qualifiers taking place from the 16th through 28th. Painkiller itself is an unusual and unexpected choice for the CPL's one on one game, Doom 3 being the favourite to be chosen, which is why the Four-Kings are looking for talent as they currently do not have anyone who is proficient in the game.
