2nd December 2004:
Snake screens slither in
Slide on into the past and follow the Snake as he hides his way to the objective.
Posted by Chris Snook - PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

It is not very often that when a game that is released in Europe that it has a few new tweaks added that are not to be found in the Japanese or US versions.

Happily Metal gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be one of the exceptions.

MGS3 features a different playing experience. It is forty years ago and Snake is in the jungle, tasked to carry out various search and destroy missions. There is no radar, the only early warning that is given is the crunch of the underbrush and the movement of branches. Food has to be caught as Snake is self sufficient but suffers fatigue if not fed and the food no longer heals injuries, these have to be bound by hand. A simpler, more realistic adventure for a time so long ago.

The extras so far revealed, for the Euro version include a Duel Mode, where you can take on the bosses, independent of the continuity of the game and a Demo Theatre, where the stunning cinematic visuals can be watched as often as desired.

More PAL only additions are to be revealed before the European release next March.
