Christmas is coming and Microsoft is smilling like a Cheshire Cat who has inherited the dairy.

Since November 11^th Halo 2 a staggering 238095 copies per day have been sold. That racks up to a phenomenal five million in total,

A number that is undoubtedly making people in both Bungie and Microsoft very happy and very relieved by the sales figures. It also makes up just over 45% of all sales of the combined franchise across all formats.

Seems that over twenty-eight million hours of play on the new title alone has been logged on the XBox Live servers, more than any other game so far. That equates to an average session of ninety-one minutes at a stretch by the now nearly one million new users attracted to the Microsoft online service.
